We are creating a new website with a strong emphasis on calls-to-action that produce results. This project is to rewrite/reword/expand approximately 20-pages of original content for website. The client, [login to view URL], is builder/contractor.
The attached docs contain the original content and the keywords for each page. We’ll want to limit the text to no more than 200-250 words per page with keywords to be worked in at 2-3% density.
Below are the following guidaince we provide to antone interesetd in creating compelling web copy:
Before you begin:
1. What is the goal of your content?
2. What points do I want to make?
3. Get credible, facts, sources, and/or quotes.
Other key points:
· Start with a strong headline, a series of compelling questions, or an interesting/compelling quotation.
· Also, in the main body, incorporate compelling questions, interesting/compelling quotation.
· Relate to the reader using customer focused content.
· Write in a way to identify with your audience – try to get inside their head.
· Write at the 8th grade level, but don’t talk down to the reader.
· What is your unique selling proposition (USP)? Why should they buy from you?
· Include interesting/compelling facts. (e.g. “updating your kitchen provides the best value in increasing the value of your home”)
· Include at least one call-to-action and always finish with a call-to-action. (E.g. “To start down the path to creating a new kitchen, call or email us at….”)
· Use bullet points.
· Typically write about 2-300 words with no more than 2-3 keywords, with a keyword density of 2-3%
