Blenders Buying Guide
If you are looking to buy a blender, you go to the mall and then pick the first blender that is offered to you by the sales person. To make a good purchase, you should first determine what you are going to use it for. Perhaps you want to use the blender for crushing ice or frozen drinks, thus, you will need a heavy-duty model or maybe you just want your soups to be pureed perfectly, in which case, a very different product is what you need.
Buying the best blender for you to use should be based on three important factors: (1) the types of blender (2) the features offered and (3) the brand/model.
Types of Blenders
When you go to a store, the most common type that you will find is the table-top model, which has a steady base and a jar or container on its top. This type is used for making smoothies or mixing your milk shakes. Usually this blender has numerous speed options that allow you to use it according to your needs.
Another type of blender is the immersion blender. It is a stick hand held type with a swirling blade at the other end. It can actually do the job of common blenders, but in a different manner. You use this type to stir up soups and chop certain fruits and vegetables. Compared to a common blender, the immersion blender is easier to store and more portable, although not as durable as the first type.
