Title: Data Management Architect

Reporting lines:

- Member of the Global IT Data Management team

- Hierarchically and operationally reports to the Data Management Architect Manager

Key interactions:

Internally: Data Management Services and BI Managers, MDM Manager, IT and Business Application owners, Infrastructure teams

Externally: Contracting firms, Data Management experts

Job scope:

As part of the global IT strategy, The Data Management department is a looking for a Technical Data Architect to ensure assistance of development team on current Data Management architecture landscape and take responsibility of our project’s architecture.

You will be joining the Global IT Management team reporting to the data Management Architecture Manager. You’ll be interacting internally with Data Management development teams, Group Infrastructure teams, and the whole IT community. You will participate in various projects and applications steering committees.

Your role will be covering the whole data management architecture on various technologies. You will be supporting development teams in their day to day usage of Data Management tools: Microsoft SSIS, Microsoft Biztalk, Microsoft PowerBI, Oracle BI and Oracle Databases, and SAP Business Objects; by keeping the architecture up to date and at the state of the art. You will also participate in the evolution of this architecture, working with the Architecture Manager.

Mission and responsibilities:

Is accountable for Data Management environments setup with Infrastructure teams:

- Organizing and planning Software upgrades,

- Capacity planning for various Database systems,

- Being Infrastructure team SPOC for any Data Management architecture topic

Is accountable for bringing expertise/administration knowledge on Data Management tools to the development teams:

- Responsible for the development environments, technical assistance to the development teams

- Responsible for access management and segregation of duties between development and operations teams

- Validation of architecture projects and point of contact for development teams

Assists Data Management Manager on architecture design of data management systems

Provide the High level architecture during the define phase of new projects.

Assists Data Management Manager in data management architecture innovation and digitalization

- POC

- Architecture

- Development standards

Responsible for continuous improvement in BI and data management architecture :

- Stay informed of vendor offers and BI project roadmap to anticipate new usages and improvements in our client’s systems,

- Help to identify and implement process improvements to reduce time to market of BI solutions

- Promote and improve data management tools for the developers and validates and improves development guidelines

Profile:

Must have:

o 5 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence and/or Data Management domain

o Experience related to Data Integration domain

o High skills on Global BI Architecture (ETL, Cubes, Reporting)

o Working experience in Oracle Database Systems

o Technical Project Management

o Knowledge on Application Project Management

o Proven analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

o Solid oral and written communication skills in English

o Team and process-oriented spirit

o Fluent English and French

Nice to have:

o Data Quality mindset

o Knowledge of PowerBI, Oracle BI and SAP BI

o Knowledge of SSIS, Biztalk

o Knowledge or Oracle Databases
