Looking For Virtual Assistants (Proofreader/Editor)

I am a young, eager proofreading newcomer and will take an interest in any material I have to proofread. I can proofread 4000 words an hour, and I am extremely thorough. I have previously completed proofreading for friends, family, school peers and even teachers. As a perfectionist, my standards will be no lower than a professional's. I charge very competitive rates, and yet will still complete the work quickly. I can touch type very quickly and I am always online - I am a teenager! This would be my first project and I'd love the opportunity to start proofreading now. I have impeccable understanding of US English, as I love to read. I also can add appropriate style and register, as I have a flair for writing and my studies aid this. I am at the moment studying English Language, French, Latin, Geography and Maths at A-Level (Sixth Form Qualification). I have received nothing below an A all year in my work, and I am predicted A+/A for all 5 A-Levels. I received 12 A+s and 3 As at GCSE, including English Language and Literature. Please consider me for this job, as you will find no-one more eager and, despite low rates, I will still ensure every piece of editing is perfect.

Hi, My preference is to bid per word count - not with an hourly rate. That way we both know ahead of time what to expect - (and if I'm screwing around with my time - it's not your problem). And it depends what the project is. Typically, with a manuscript, double-spaced, 250 words per page, it's $3/page - about $30/hour. Your bid range doesn't include that ... I don't understand why qualified people would bid less than their worth, less even than minimum wage .. I have lots of experience outside of this site - writing, editing, teaching writing, doing manuscript consultations and publishing. I may be new to this site but I'm not new to the craft.
