I can design the firmware in Arduino that you need, using both sensors.
My idea is to use a control scheme that can be adjusted by the user for serial port, at this way will be possible adjust the system variables fastly without the need of to be programming the microcontroller each time.
Once that the values of the model are obtained, they can be burned into the memory (hard coded).
The code will be fully explained and commented, and if is necessary I will separate it in libraries, for future revisions and a better maintenance.
First I will design a software model and will give you it to understand both two the idea and the solution. Then I will proceed with the programming.
