Design & light SEO for index page for Wordpres blog.

This is my site. [login to view URL] Please note that it loads slow, and it loads into "CLUBS" category. I don't want it to load into "CLUBS" category. I would like to create a new index page, with SEO friendly text and very cool looking design. The header and footer will stay the same. So the page you are designing will be about 630x400 or 630x any value. Attention: If you want me to consider your bid, after you place it, please send me a private message, and your idea. You can send me a link to a site (doesn't have to be yours) to give me an idea of how you see this new page. Please talk to me about the SEO text, graphics, and your idea of the overall look. Keep in mind that the main reason I am doing this for is so that my site would load fast. I like how my site looks now. The new index page should look even better. The new index page should be very SEO Friendly. So please don't bid unless you know how to use WP, design outstanding looking page, and know how to use text for best SEO results.
