checking links and searching for links

We currently have a list of 1200 companies with web links, developed in house, from about 2 years ago. We need someone to simply check each link to ensure it is still current and works. If not, then a short web search for a current link is needed. We estimate that perhaps 10-20% of the links will need to be updated. Therefore, this project should be fairly simple. If no current link- with contact information- is found to a particular company, then we will need it listed so we can delete it.
Note: The project was started by someone else and was not able to finish it.
Please only serious bidders and I don't want this job not completed, so please do not bid if you are not able to finish it.
