AWS Specialist

We have an opportunity for an AWS (Dev Opps) specialist to join our team. We are a Vancouver based startup and while its not necessary to be based in Vancouver, we would prefer you are open to re-location should this position become permanent. You should have an excellent command of English and be familiar with agile development and big data projects. You are an expert with AWS with years of demonstrable experience. You should be available to work on Central Standard Time. This position is part-time but can evolve to a full-time position. Please submit your proposal including your resume or updated LinkedIn. 1. Set up AWS stacks for both pre-production (staging) and production environments, specify the location of its source code repository, deployed automatically to the production environment without any human interaction. Basically set up Continuous delivery pipelines and environment. 2. Uses complex CloudFormation scripts consisting of thousands of lines of custom code to create VPCs, subnets, and to take variables into EC2 user data 3. Build production autoscaling groups and instances for the client. 4. Once in production, custom scripts push metrics to CloudWatch to trigger autoscaling events 5. Practical experience with most if not all components of AWS: EC2, Beanstalk, ELB, Route53, S3, Cloudfront, SNS, SWF, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, IAM, CloudFormation.
