Hi coders,
I have this idea that I want to experiment with.
Many people go to stores and buy daytimers (calenders or day planners) and I think there may be a market for people to print their own. Basically selecting from a template, adding or accessorizing their daytimer pages and then printing them on their own printer (making it free). All they would have to do is buy a binder to put their new printed pages in and they are done. Eventually I would do things like sell fancy binders and binding services from the site but not to start with.
I am thinking we could clone most of the ideas right off an existing site that lets you order custom daytimers online.
The site is: <[login to view URL]>
Basically we would strip out all the store stuff. We would let people choose a page size, select a format, and then add options to their daytimer.
options might be pages like "To do lists" or telephone lists, or perhaps we can come up with a few other ideas.
This would be a 2 part project.
Part 1 (no programming at all)
This would be where you would create a document that outlines the complete functionality of the site. map out what it would look like, how it would work, establish a design or look, and basically plan the development of the entire site from start to finish. This plan woiuld establish a programming schedule for the work as well as outline possible additions to the program that might be considered at later points once the initial site is online and functional. I would pay for this spec and part 1 of the project would be over.
Part 2. (programming)
THis is the part were we take the specification we create3d in part one and turn it into an operating website on my server. once this part of the project is done the site should be fully operational. I might rebid this project or just give it to the same coder that accomplished part1 if I feel their quote is reasonable.
My objective is to have this site up and running as quickly as possible.
Any questions just ask.
