The project is to redevelop an existing web site, [login to view URL], to provide new structure, new skin and added flexibility.
[login to view URL] is Written in ASP and uses an MS Access database. The site provides for online registration by advertisers (employers and agencies), online lodgement of ads, email confirmation of lodgements, automated online invoicing, online tracking of sales and invoices, online searches by viewers, scheduled services for daily job alerts emails, a weekly newsletter (also available online), ad activity tracking, visitor traffic tracking and a comprehensive back end admin system.
The database retains a history of all ads lodged (needs to have automatic archiving so that only a set number are live and accessible at any time) as well as tables of subscribers for mailouts and sales histories.
Stage 1 will see the public site redeveloped in the .NET environment as a 3-tier application (Database, Business & Presentation). The site needs to be redesigned for a more modern look and the new home page will provide an "umbrella" entry point to the site, with links to home pages for multiple locations.
Extensive SQL, .NET and Cold Fusion (for scheduling application) experience are vital for this project.
Expressions of interest are invited from coders, indicating their background and experience in this environment and with such project. A more detailed specification will then be made available to selected coders inviting a fixed price quotation for the work.
The coder who prepared the current site is available to discuss his methodoly with the ASP code and existing code is available to coders wishing to examine it.
Stage 2 will be development of a new but related site for job seekers to register and lodge CVs and personal details for potential employers to search for a fee. This will require automated invoicing as well as automated tracking and update of current job seekers.
