We run COMCASH POS with 2 computers (as cash registers) and 1 computer (as the 'server'). The database is Microsoft SQL even though we only use MSDE to access the data. COMCASH writes their internal reports in CRYSTAL REPORTS 8.5. which can be accessed through a reporting module that comes with the software. We need a simple report that does 3 things for a given CASHIER's WORKSHIFT. 1) Summarizes the sales first by taxable/nontaxable totals and then by tender types (Cash, Check, Visa, MC, etc...)2) Summarizes the sales by Department of the products sold, and 3) Summarizes sales of a specified Item (PLU number). Ideally, we would like this in Crystal Reports 8.5 so we can incorporate it into COMCASH's software, but we could probably work around a more recent version. Finally this would print on a 40 column (cash receipt printer.)We want to be able to run this at the end of each Cashier's shift when they close out.
