Create a web page using Joomla

I need a portal to organize medical projects in grid view. This needs to be implemented using Joomla. I need to be able to filter them by year (the year they started and/or the year they ended), and also be able to search for them using keywords. The main view should show, at the left side, a simple menu. It should include the logo of the institution, the title of the webpage, and a description with bullets. Below that, a box to help the user search among the projects; using keywords from the abstract as well as from the source of funding, or the title even. A filter should be below that, to be able to filter articles by the year it started, or the year it ended, or if it’s an ongoing project. The projects should be shown in a grid, organized in square boxes. Inside them, at the top, there should be a picture of the project, in a small size. The starting and ending year should be below that, and then the title, slightly bigger than any other text inside the square box. There will be a short part of the abstract below the title, followed by a button link which should forward the user to the project’s official webpage. The dates and the button should be optional, because some of the projects don’t have them specified. I want the size of the squares to be all the same. When the user clicks on one of the boxes, he or she should be directed to the full article of the project. This page should still have the menu on the left side, though it would be a plus if this menu could be clicked to retract. In the main article, there should be the picture but in a bigger version at the very top. Below that, there should be the title in a big font, followed by the years and the source of funding in a more subtle color/size. Then there should be the complete abstract describing the project. Finally, below it there should be again some sort of link to the project’s official webpage if it has it. The developer may use any components or plug-ins he/she deems necessary, but please indicate in detail which are being used. Also, they should be free of cost, if not, please indicate the cost details to be approved by me. I would supply all the information that needs to be filled; the titles, pictures, links and text. It is very important to be easy to create/upload more projects. Some changes may be applied later, like extra buttons in the menu. The colors in the example are not the final colors, I would welcome suggestions. This page is an official portal for the projects made by a local university, so it has to have a formal yet appealing look. All intellectual property and copyright will be transferred to me. Thanks!
