The website will have adverts for horses for sale of which we provide a disc for the horse to wear during competition with a number on, the person interested will then either type the number into the site or into the equidisc iphone app and the full advert with or without the sellers contact details on (at their discretion) will be shown. The seller will have a username and password to access the site but they can upload as many adverts as they wish and will be sent out a disc relating to each advert for each horse. The seller will be able to upload their own advert (large content) including full pedigree and competition history and upto 10 pictures and a video. The seller will also have an update option so they can regulary update the horses progress and where it will be competing and so on (almost like a mini face book page for the horse). The seller can chose to have their contact details shown to all or on request only. Once the horse is sold the ad is removed and the disc number archived for at least 3 months and then recycled to another horse. The site will notify the administrators (me or Danielle) when a new advert is up loaded and we will post out the disc. For the first 6-12 months this service will all be free of [login to view URL] long term plan is to link the site to the iphone app to make it easier for the buyer to access the horses information. We also want to be able to put touch screens in the top market show centres where customers can test the site for free and even advertise there horse there and then. The business will need bank rolling during this period while the customer base is being set up, once we feel we have plenty of users we can then approach suppliers for advertising on the site and eventually charge a minimum fee for advertising. The site will be marketed by advertising in the top equestrian publications and banner advertising in show centres around the country. We will progress onto having a stand at some summer outdoor shows to demo the site in person. To start with we will go round in person taking details and offering to put the horses on for the sellers and giving them a disc there and then to build up confidence in our product.
