My partner and I just built a system to do this. We can integrate with virtually any system. Our initial project was for wordpress CMS clients. We can connect to IDX and RETS based feeds for any MLS. We've also created a backend for mapping out the system. We've developed software scripts that will pull the data using Python, using Java, and using PHP that can directly be used within the wordpress platform. One huge advantage of our system is the unique SEO abilities for the end client. Mainly, with our system, the end client has the control to manipulate how the MLS listing photos are named and stored. The bottom line is that if you opt to complete this project with my team, we likely already have a huge head start, and could deliver the desired result much quicker.
