Hi, I clearly understand what you need as I had done a similar requirement for UK. I understand that when user scrolls over the map, the region of the postal code should lighten up when user scrolls over that region and some other annotations too. Hi Australia post codes can be represented into the map by getting them from the list. I have implemented such system where the hotels are shown on a map in the near by 10 miles radius on the map. Please reply to discuss in details. Thanks

I can get this done for you using Google Maps, by drawing polygons to represent each zip code

I am very proficient in java. I have 12 years java developing experience. I have worked for 5 years, my work is online game developing, and mainly focus on server side, the language is java under linux, I am proficint in c++ also. I used java to make many great projects. For example, I made the tools which can convert PWScript(a script language created by our company) to c++ files. hi sir, im expert in google map api. i can do this using australias postcode boundaries geodata. using those data, i can overlay a polygon so it will highlight the postocode area. i can start asap thank you odel

I've worked with the google maps API before, and drawing this in KML layers is just what it sounds like you want. There's ways to extract post code polygons, so if you want to get in touch with me we can talk it over, and see what we can do as a sample here, thanks.

this script/app/software can be blocked by Google, it is possible to grab the address on map and i could not understand that what type of information you need from the australian posts.

Let me see if I understood... You need to show a map with points based on zip codes? Technically convert a zip in coordinates?
