I am looking for a clone of the car insurance quote system at confused.com. Essentially, [login to view URL] asks a few basic personal questions in order to source quotes from hundreds of online car insurers. I would like a clone of this system, plus any 'extras' that might apply through point 3) below. Should the user wish to proceed with a quote then they would complete the process with the insurer themselves with [login to view URL] taking a commission. I am unsure of the technicalities that are involved here, and so I would insist that any bidding coders demonstrate their competence and knowledge by explaining to me the following: 1) The system requires a database full of Postal Addresses (Linked via post codes) and car registration numbers. How can these most effectively and cheaply be sourced? 2) How do we pull in quotes from several different insurers? 3) How can we add value by not only providing the 'cheapest' quote but helping the user find the 'best' quote for them. Work required is only for the development of the system -- I will provide the designs. Please feel free to ask if you require any further details about the project.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
Preferably, I would like a PHP system running on a MySQL database that would work in all modern browsers. Ideally, the quote system will not rely on Javascript however I am happy to consider the use of Javascript if it allows the system to perform more effectively.
