Customize virtuemart shipping method

Hello there,
I have set up a virtuemart e-shop version 2.x on Joomla 2.5.x. I have created a table inside database where i have postcode, state, area, description and a special id, with which i want to do the customization.
Inside virtuemart i have created shipment methods but i have set up only the price of the shipment (no weight or zip code adjustment). So, what i need is when the user enters his zip code (Greek zip codes), then virtuemart will check to find the zip code from my table and then it will cross-check this row's special id in order to use the shipment method with the same id as the special id of the zip code. And it will take the price of the shipment method like this.
Actually, what i need is to be able to show to buyer the available shipment methods due to their zip code, so if there are other simpler ideas, ok!
