Hi A simple one for all you kernel hackers out there, I have a ASUS R120-E3 1 RU server. It has a LSI SATA Raid controller Built into the mainboard. It uses the ICH7 Intel Chipset.
It may be fake raid using this chipset, Not sure. Anyway I would like to use the drivers and get some form of harware raid without using partition based software raid.
The server has the container volume00 created and initialised in the bios and FC5 is installed on the box using the found megaraid driver which automatically decided that it was raid 0 and installed. Potentially you could build the driver on the actuall server and then I can install reinstall RC4.
I have the Source Code for kernel 2.4 but not for 2.6 ????
