We are looking for quotes on a complete real estate IDX property search solution that we can purchase from you, you can install, manage and upgrade for us over time with ever-increasing functionality. The more bells and whistles built in, the more we will be willing to pay. Flexibility is also important since we integrate with a number of multiple listing services who each have their own quirks.
We have our own solution already in place, but it is cumbersome to update, and we are looking instead for a rapid jump in functionality and aesthetics and more importantly a mature, well-built, well-documented, framework-based body of code that can quickly evolve.
The data import function may or may not be included. Just be clear what is included in your quote. RETS is bare minimum, but the final system will have to support delimited text and XML feeds and RETS.
It's okay if you built the solution for another client. But you must either own the code or get/purchase permission from the owner.
The current solution is PHP/MySQL, but you should make your case for your own approach. Either way, it will (almost) certainly live on a Linux platform.
We will own the code you deliver and will be free to update it ourselves or use other contractors in the future, although it makes the most sense for us to establish a long-term relationship with you.
Please include the fixed price for the solution and installation. Also give us an hourly rate for ongoing development and maintenance.
