Diary as a saloon

Columns with therapists namewho are working that day or service at top, time at side in 15 min slots, ideally with some marker to show present time slot. Therapists working hours are shown – the diary will not allow a therapist to have a treatment booked in outside their normal working hours without checking it is ok to do so. At the bottom of the diary the days/date of that week show and clicking on these brings up that day’s columns. Also clicking another ‘button’ gives the diary for week +1,+2, ....ad infinitum (not sure actually how many weeks ahead we could go at present, we’ve never pushed it to the limit!) Columns bookable by clicking on time slot (need to put in a ‘pin number’ to book in clients) and then selecting client name & treatment from drop down menus, which then show on the diary with set treatment times. New clients can be added to system with name & at least one contact detail. When client is sent an automatic reminder (text or email, which they can choose to have that morning, a day before or 2 days before, or not at all) booking changes colour. When client arrives in salon clicking on the appointment changes the colour again. Signing off / payment is made by clicking on the booking which takes to another screen where any additional treatments or products purchased can be added, clicking ‘continue’ goes to payment screen where payment method(s) is/are selected, and any balance on the account is shown too. Any credit balance has the option of being used towards the current payment or kept as a credit. If necessary payments can be put on account to be paid at a later date (not used often but sometimes useful if the card machine goes down!) Booking changes to another colour when signed off. In the case of a course of treatments signing off the treatment automatically deducts one session from the client’s course balance. Ability to add staff breaks, training , meetings, admin, holiday, sick, etc into column (which can only be ‘overbooked’ with a treatment after checking if ok to do so) Clicking on staff members name at top gives staff notes, editable Clicking on further buttons on the side of the diary allow: (with pin) client records to be accessed petty cash spend to be put onto till (with an option to add in further categories) till to be accessed for putting through ‘walk in’ payments (vouchers, prepayments, courses, products, etc under name of client or just as ‘walk in’)) cash up at end of day (or part day)
