This is an application written in VB.NET 2008, and consists of one main form and 5 additional forms that are opened for specific functions. (Setting program options, etc)
The application is primarily a graphic editor built for a specific use. Users have a toolbox of symbol that can be added to an editor window, and the program allows the user to save the generated graphic as BMP, JPG, and PNG files.
We need this program to be re-written in Apple's XCode to be compiled to run as a native OS X (Leopard & Snow Leopard) application.
## Deliverables
You will be given both the complete source code for the VB.NET 2008 application and will need to create a new XCode (Cocoa / Objective-C language) application that operates and looks like the VB.NET version.
As the UI is different on a Mac than a PC, it is expected that the user interface use standard interface components (buttons, text boxes, etc) from XCode instead of attempting to exactly match the appearance of the VB.NET version.
Menus will also be in the standard location for a Mac application (at the top of the screen) instead of on the main form.
NOTE: The main form opens at a fixed size, but does allow the user to drag it taller to accommodate larger diagrams. The form also opens to a wider size to reveal a "ToolBox" when the user presses a button.
If the programmer has a suggestion or UI component issue that would significantly change the appearance or operation, they will need to email us with screenshots and descriptions of the proposed change before proceeding.
Programmer will return full source code and an installer for the finished application, along with any resources the project requires in order to successfully build and compile on our systems.
