I am looking for someone who can either automate, or perform by hand, the work of copying financial data from the earnings press releases of public companies into spreadsheets. For a given company, I would like a spreadsheet containing every line item in the data tables included in that company's quarterly earnings release. The Labels should go in column A, then data for each quarter filled in in adjacent columns (i.e. first quarter 2007 data in column B, second quarter 2007 data in column C, and so on). I think this is pretty self-explanatory but I will happily answer any questions if it is not. The data is all public and generally available on each company's website. Some companies produce their data in a format that is easily copied, some require more tedious data entry. I am open to suggestions on an appropriate compensation system.
