alexa sniffing

1) we use a custom made ie bho that mimics the alexa toolbar by sending data to alexa when our users visit our website. (some of our users download the alexa toolbar, while most download our bho because it installs easier, does not get rejected by anti-virus programs, and does not take up desktop real estate). 2) after going live with the bho, record numbers of our users have downloaded (we track who installs alexa toolbar and who installs the bho), but our alexa curve is crashing. our internal stats on site usage remain constant. 3) your job is to see if we missed something in our bho. we sniffed the data alexa toolbar sends to alexa, and our bho sends the same data, but maybe we missed something. our internal stats showing site usage constant and our number of bho downloads increasing but alexa curve dropping = there is something we do not see with how alexa toolbar works. can you find what our bho is missing as it tries to imitate the alexa toolbar? ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law.
