I'm looking for someone to finish a project that was started but then we lost contact with the programmer (so we have some of the deliverables close to completed).
The project is to make a math program for me for Texas Instruments calculators. The program would have to be made in z80 asm (there is very good documentation from Ti, and it is calculator programming and mostly simple math so I'm assuming it won't be extremely difficult to learn). The program would be created and compiled using Ti's software development kit located at: [login to view URL]
I'd actually need 2 different programs - one for the Ti-83 plus/84 plus calculators, and one for the Ti-89 calculator. The bulk of the programs would be a conversion of about 9 different types of math programs that I have already made in BASIC for those calculators (almost all are very simple math) - although right now they are split into about 20 different files that make up the single program. The programs would mostly be math focused, with a few involving simple geometric graphics, and would be to help answer SAT questions. These programs would have to be extremely stable, as an error could crash the calculator at a critical moment.
I would also need a password system for the programs. This password should only have to be entered the first time the programs are loaded onto the calculator, and should be generated based on the calculator's serial number. This way the user can give me the serial number of their calculator and I can automate what their password will be based on the serial. The idea is to keep users from transferring the programs to different calculators (it should check the previously entered password against the calculator's serial number when started so that you can't enter your correct serial and then transfer the programs to another calculator, but it should only prompt the user for the password the first time it is run).
Note that these programs should be run as "Flash" programs on the calculator, so they run using the Apps button (they are not actually programmed in flash).
As I stated, we have some of the programs almost complete - I can send you examples as we get close to help you judge what a proper bid for this project would be.
## Deliverables
Once I find a few potential bidders I will send you the current programs with code so that you can look at them and see what has been done so far so that you can give an accurate bid for this project.
