I need an ActiveX control to be embedded in an <object> tag in an HTML page for Internet Explorer.
The ActiveX control will need to accept commands via javascript from the HTML page and then pass the necessary commands to a DLL provided. The DLL will then reply, the ActiveX control will process the reply and return information to the web browser if necessary.
A help file containing all of the DLL commands is provided.
Source Code in C++, Visual C 6 & 7, VB6 & .NET is also provided.
An OCX file was provided by the manufacturer, but I have been unable to get the OCX file to work from a web browser.
IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO DOWNLOAD THE ActiveX Control FROM THE INTERNET. THIS WILL BE USED ON SPECIAL KIOSK TERMINALS ONLY.
I am including the SDK from the manufacturer that contains all of this information. Please refer to the LCDDEV help file for ActiveX commands that need to be created. I don't need any functionality related to use as a dongle.
Finally, please reply with the length of time you believe it will take you to complete the project and if you will need to have a LCD Keypad unit present.
Project will also need to include sample javascript, 1) calling the ActiveX object and 2) handling a keypress from the Keypad unit
The web page for this product is:
<[login to view URL]>
The unit being used is the LCD Keypad with No Reader.
