This project will be a VB.NET/ASP.NET/SQL Server 2000 project. The purpose of this project is to convert an existing website from a MySQL Database to a SQL Server database. Step 1: Take MySQL SQL extracts and modify SQL Server 2000 tables to match. This includes setting up keys, identifiers, etc. There are 3 databases with a total of 30 tables between them, these are very small tables, most with 1 identity field, 1 key, and 1-2 relationships that will need to be created. Step 2: Modify the 5 web pages and the .NET DLL to access the SQL Server instead of the MySQL. Also ensure that all inline SQL code is SQL Server compliant, the former programmer used some functions like instr which are different in SQL Server. Modify to use a single global connection string if possible, or document locations of all connection strings as the code will need to be changed to point at an internal SQL server when you are done with it. Step 3: There is a function in the DLL/Web Pages that checks to see if a shipping address is going to a P.O. box and marks it as a bad address if it is. We need to change this to search for a couple of additional forms of P.O. box. Preferrably we would make this look at a reference table. Step 4: Provide daily reports of your work, including times. At least 3 lines of documentation for each hour worked. This is required for us to bill the client. SQL Server login information will be provided to the winning bidder. This should be a very easy 1-2 hour project. Attached is all code for you to view.
