Daily Deal Website with functionality similar to Groupon/LivingSocial(E-commerce website and CMS) Our site is already designed and content is ready, we just need the PSDs to be cut and the back end built. - Daily Deal site with functionality similar to Groupon/LivingSocial - Scalable system that can separate sign-ups by city and handle area/city growth from local -> national -> international - Integration with social platforms (Facebook Connect Login, Facebook Like/Sharing Integration, Twitter Sharing, Email Sharing) - Support account/referral credits (such as $5 credits for signing up, and $10 credits for successful referrals of friends that result in a sale) - XML Deal Feed - Trackable referral links for deals (i.e. [login to view URL] or [login to view URL]) - Gather targeted demographics and interests from users similar to [login to view URL] (like age, sex, interests in Spas, Salons, Restaurants, etc) - MailChimp API Integration for scheduled, automated emails a plus - [login to view URL] Gateway Integration - [login to view URL] affiliate software experience a plus - Support SSL Security - Blog Functionality - SEO Friendly URLs - Site preferably coded in PHP on a Linux/Apache Environment (RackSpace Cloud Sites/Servers/Files) - Customization of [login to view URL] wordpress template if unable to create one from scratch Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Strong knowledge of Web 2.0 architectural and design principles • Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills • Good communication and personal skills: strong sense of project ownership • Visual design skills for web page design and layout a plus • Knowledge of semantic web technologies, information retrieval, distributed systems, database theory Experience: • 5+ years developing and scaling Web 2.0 application(s) using a modern full-stack web framework • Must have experience with data-driven web development, including knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, DHTML, CSS programming and cross-browser support • Experience with modern languages Django, JQuery, YUI, Dojo, Turbogears, Ruby on Rails, Wordpress, etc are a plus. • Experience with JavaScript, AJAX, XML/XSLT, Flash, web security, web scalability techniques, and setting up e-commerce/funnels/goals in Google Analytics are a plus.
