C# log4Net Send Syslog and/or update database

C# with Visual Studio 2012. Today loginfo is written to the Windows Application Eventlog using a function like this: private static void WriteMessageToWindowsEventlog(string sSource, string sLog, string errortype, string message, string msgID, bool debug) {} My request is to create new functions using log4Net ( [login to view URL] ) to create somthing like private static void WriteMessageToSyslog( DateTime time, string tread, string level, string logger,string message, string exception ) {} ([login to view URL]) The sysylog will be on a different machine.. (actually not known today). For testing purpose I will use Kiwi Syslog om my development PC running Windows 7. ( [login to view URL] ) I will use the free version. The syslog function needs a configuration tool like a simple Visual Studio 2012 Form. Today I actually do not know the log2Net "appender" that will be used. I hope that I can get some guidance to choose a most likely "candidate" and/or possibility to change the config of log4net thru the configuration GUI My request is to create new functions using log4Net ( [login to view URL] ) to create somthing like private static void WriteMessageToDatabase( DateTime time, string tread, string level, string logger,string message, string exception ) {} In this case it is most likey that MS SQL will be used. Alomost the same as WriteMessageToSyslog(..) but use the log4Net to write to a database. I section in the Config GUI changes the parameters needed för the database connection. Needs a button to create the table/fields if the database dont contain the neccisary table/fields.
