svininykh, it looks like you have already done most of this, according to a Youtube video I watched: [login to view URL]
I need a way (for a little restaurant I will soon be opening) to:
- conveniently export my sales data every day from Unicenta oPOS (into a master spreadsheet - Excel, Openoffice Calc, Libre)
- Then carefully update my inventory on hand in that spreadsheet. To do this, your program will carefully go through the list of products sold that day in Unicenta, and for each product, find it in the master list in the spreadsheet. For each product, it will look at the "recipe" for that product (which tells me all the raw ingredients of that product.) It will then update all my inventory, telling me if I need to re-order anything.
- Finally, your program will take the update summaries (which the spreadsheet calculates) and store all that summary data into Quickbooks (or Sage if that would be cheaper, since it looks like you have done this already), updating the appropriate accounting accounts in QB/Sage.
- Also, that same master spreadsheet (which has the inventory and recipes in it) will also have all the names of our products, raw ingredient prices, vendors, etc. I can then update Unicenta when I change anything in that master spreadsheet.
If you see a better way for my little restaurant to interconnect POS system, carefully manage inventory and calculate cost-of-goods, and do accounting in Quickbooks or Sage, please let me know. Maybe I am not thinking this through clearly enough. I need the source core for any solution however.
Unicenta POS developer is here. I have done most of the things before as mentioned in your project description, Having more than 10 years if Java based development experience. I have implemented POS for many retail and whole sale businesses. You can also check my client reviews as well.
