Our app has a backgrouod service that uses the START_STICKY return code from onStartCommand to automatically restart when the system kills the service. It seems that this is no longer working on Android KitKat. Is there any solution for this ? Should I be doing something different on Kitkat to keep the service running ?
Hi, I have read through you requirements. You have to use Alarm service manager to re invoke the service everytime it is killed by system or user.
START_STICKY has some exception cases that you need to handle, ill send you a demo class for the service if you hire me
Thanks
