Hello, I have read your project description and it looks interesting to me. I have thought a lot about the project and find a great solution which is fast and cost effective or free if your usage is limited. My great solution is: 1) Use Google's new JSON based web cloud database to store your words database in a JSON tree structured way. 2) Use Google drive API to store images. 3) There will be a offline sync system that will allow the app to be working offline too. 4) My design will be Google's new material design that should work from android ics(4.0.3) to marshmallows (6.0).
