GENERAL IDEA: The App (for Apple first then Android Systems)The Xronia Polla App (pronounced Hronia Polla in Phonetic English) is a Greek Orthodox Ecclesiastical Holiday Reminder, Alarm Clock, Calendar and Scheduler with programmable Byzantine Holiday Hymns, Hourly Chimes, and/or Hourly Bell Tolls. The “Xronia Polla /Χρόνια Πολλά” App will: 1) Remind App Users of the Major and Minor Greek Orthodox Christian Holidays of the Ecclesiastic Calendar. There are 61 different short Byzantine hymns (less than 3 minute MP3 or MP4 files) that will play for Fixed Holidays (celebrated same day each year) and approx. 23 programmed Hymns for Moveable Holidays celebrated different days each year ie Easter, Holy Week, etc) . NOTE: These reminders hymns can ring on a default setting or once (ie 8 am), twice (12 noon) , three times (and 6pm) a day at fixed times. EXAMPLE: The User will hear audio file that says: “The Feast Day of St John the Theologian.. and then play the musical file) 2) Allows user to hear one of 24 randomly selected short hourly chimes or Bell sounds (like Big Ben/Westminster chime) around the clock or only at (7am-11 pm if "Nighttime mode" is on). 3) If Holiday Hymn, Hourly Chime, and Bell Toll are all turned on/selected then they will play according to a musical hierarchy ie.(Bell Toll- Hourly Chime-Holiday Hymn). 4) Must program a 10 year Holiday calendar of Moveable Feasts (and stationary holidays: same day every year)-provided. Music Hierarchy based on holiday and user settings :ie: Moveable Feast Holiday Hymns will supersede/ Fixed Holiday Hymn if Moveable Feast falls on the Fixed Holiday (ie. Holy Week falls on Saint George or other Saints fixed Holiday). Also plays moveable feast hymn then fixed holiday hymn. 5) Allow User to select 1 of 2 "alarm songs provided" that will play when an alarm is entered ie wake-up alarm at 6:15am. 6) Allow User to send an Iconogram: (A holiday card ) to a friend on a specific holiday by pressing an Iconogram (BUTTON) which links to a [login to view URL] website (permissions received). 7) Allow User to view Icons of the Holiday Celebrated (ie. on MAin PAGE:face of I-Phone when Holiday Hymns are activated) while Holiday title appears below icon on face of device).MAIN FACE PAGE WILL BE PROVIDED> 8) Allow user to learn about specific Holiday celebrated (by linking up to Goarch Page) (BUTTON)on Main Page. SEVEN MAIN BUTTONS ON MAIN PAGE= a)Today’s Holiday b)Send an Iconogram c)Monthly Calendar d)Orthodox Links e)DAILY Notes f)Menu/Program g) Make a Gift/DONATION 9) Allow user to press Monthly Calendar (BUTTON) on main page which brings you to [login to view URL] Calendar page site (button on main page) 10) User will program settings by pressing Menu-to-Settings (BUTTONs) from main page. Programs: music, and alarms: ie hourly programs: Chimes ( Y/N) Alarm Clock (Y/N) Frequency of Holiday Hymns (once daily, Twice Daily, Thrice daily or Mute) etc. 11) Allows user to Link up to page with other Orthodox Links (BUTTON) around the world next page will list all links (provided). 12) Allow User to enter personal notes daily by pressing NOTES (BUTTON) which stores a brief memo until deleted. 13) Button G=***Allows users to make a donation and to receive a pop-up message twice a year (Dec 24, and April 15) “Would you like to make a Donation/Gift?” which will give them the choice of selecting one of 3 links to charitable organizations for a donation. “Make a Donation/Gift” More specific information, artwork, musical files, calendar data, links, etc ready to go Thank you and specify if you have done programming for calendars with audio alarms.
