Hi all. I need one of you to make some changes in my Android app. I have an app with a ListView that contains both text and images. See image0. Right now all this data is stores "inside" the app, with all the text in a java-file and the images in the drawable folder. See image1 and image2. I would like instead to fetche both text and images "online" if possible. The text could maybe be fetched from an xml-file from a website, like in this example [login to view URL], and the images could maybe be fetched from an url. I am not 100% sure how this is done, so you would have to make the best solution. The app itself is programmed in Eclipse, but I would need all the updates, in text and images not to be done in Eclipse. So therefore i think xml parsing could be the way to do it. Remember i would need the most simple solution as possible, so it is easy to update the application.
You can take a look on my current app with the apk file, and you can see the ListView is very "laggy" because of the size of the images.

you can do this by keeping aal the data on a server and then expose it to a webservice..call a webservice and you can download the data in ur phone.
I can do this for you. I will check apk now but saw the images and looks it can be due to the images so we can fetch images uring lazy loader where images will be stored in cache. If interested let me know .Thank you!!

We can achieve both things through online! Before that I need to know if you own a database ? a server where we can place our script from which we can fetch the data !
My solution for you is
-> We will create a table in database ,which contains all hard coded data as its present currently! and we will place image url in your database and image url will be path of the image on the servers folder. We can decode the images in android and the task can be achieved!

Hello, its better to chose json instead of xml as it is light weight and it will be very easy and simple to update it...you can do it from online editor.
I will be able to complete the job in 3 days....may be in two but 3 for sure. I have already worked on such an app before where user needed updated information about weather which was being fetched from an online ftp server.

I hope you fine. I did this kind of work in which data sync from webservice and also images. i will use JSON insted of XML because JSON is light weight. i can use XML if your requirement. Do you want to sync one time from webservice or all the time when acticity is open because it takes time to get images from websevice. if sync one time then some local database required, let me know what you exacly want.
