Hi, I can easily partially derive this function. What I need from you is the values of the (i presume) constants which will not cancel out during differentiation. i need them to plot the function in Matlab. In case these are not constants, I would need their dependencies relative to rho and sigma. But i presume these are actually constants in this case. Hi, I think that what you are asking is quit simple to do using MATLAB. However, still some explanation about the other parameters of the equation are needed. Also what represent this equation ? One should know at least how to call variables in the program as well as in the Latex document, to give a readble program and a readble Latex document even for someone who is not used to MATLAB or Latex. For example, the formula should be introduced, what kind of phenomena is described with it, and so on. One more remark, when making numerical differenciation, it is crucial to have some informations about the order of the varaible(in this case sigma and rho), in order to choose the acceptable differenciation step (it can be done numerically by analysing the error behavior) Please, take these comment in account even if you don't assign this project to me to better present the obtained results.
