I have taken a neural network class and wrote a Levenberg-Marquardt Training algorithm for training of a multiplayer perceptron, which is a type of neural network in case you don't know. email me I will send my project report and part of the code. Not only do I understand how neural network works, I'm very good at writing algorithms and MATLAB is my main tool. I have been using it for the past 6 years. I have used MATLAB NN toolbox before for training of a control algorithm with 1000 data points and 12 inputs and 4 outputs, it worked out really well.

I have graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering and currently pursuing my Ph.D degree. My research interest is application of computational intelligent in energy management system. Do you have training data?

The forecasting model are usual in signal processing an artificial neural networws. I propose design of the ANN structure, the selection of the training and the training process itself. Neural networks are universal function approximators that can map any nonlin-ear function. As such flexible function approximators, they are powerful methods for forecasting. Neural networks are less sensitive to error term assumptions and they can tolerate noise, chaotic components, and heavy tails better than most other methods.
