I want to create a machine learning programme which takes greyhound racing data and predicts the probability of each greyhound winning for future races. I think that the Amazon Machine Learning tool could do this but I am open to other suggestions. To start with I will need to do some data mining to capture the following past data about past races. 1. Trap 2. Race Distance 3. Track 4. Days since last race 5. Split 6. Sex of dog 7. Finishing time 8. I have 13 years of experience building end to end machine learning systems. We should discuss the data sets and the milestones - each stage of development, from data scraping and cleaning to the modelling along with the desired stack. There is probably no need to use AWS for the MVP, rather Python with keras or another ML library. If you eventually want to make the project live scrape the data and auto-update the probability of each greyhound, at that stage we would put everything in a docker container and use AWS. First we need the MVP. I am delivering the final presentation on another project today, so I am available from tomorrow.

I'm working on something similar for Horseracing. Can apply the learnings here. For the tools I suggest we use R or Python. AWS ML is still primitive and not ready for hard core modelling yet. Let me know when we can discuss and start this up. Cheers!

i have 2 yrs of industrial experience and have done MTECH in VIT UNIVERSITY spec in BIG DATA ANALYTICS and experience of collecting and analysing data.I have done analytics on different datasets, standing up big-data analytical tools, creating and maintaining models, and On boarding compelling new data sets.I am very good at machine learning , application of algorithms for the data sets and programming.

Hi, Love the project. We can use Amazon Machine Learning yes, btw: both urls you provided are not working for me. I understand the goal and the method anyway: we need to feed the Machine Learning Tool with previous races and so on + have it predict the outcome of the next races. I have enough experience with Machine Learning (have coded Neural Networks from scratch for a custom OCR system) to get this project completed smoothly. Looking forward to working with you.
