I would advise installing it in a virtualenv, specially if you already have other applications (even in php) running in the server. This would make easy to have other python apps if neither. Because of apache mod_wsgi limitation, all python apps should be in python 3.5. I would install it in daemon mode, so you don't have to reload apache when updating the code. Deliverable: Django app running. All config files explained to you. I will use the ssh access, not the cpanel interface.
