On my CentOS server (Dev) following the upgrade of Splunk for the Heartbleed vulnerability, file s keep being created in the root dir. The files are named [login to view URL] with an numerical value, and if the Splunk service is left running the core files fill the HDD.
So I need help to find and fix the issue which is causing all off the core files being created.
CentOS and Splunk skills required.

Those files are created because Java is heap dumping. Possibly you are running out of memory or as you say Splunk is playing up
