This is very well Possible . I handle the GIT in my organigation , over 250 + git projects i handle . Moreover i do mirroring of open source projects. Can finish this in say 1 Hour or worst case 2 hours ,

The command needed to pull from a repo will be > git pull origin master where 'origin' is the local name of the remote repo added through > git remote add origin <repolink> and 'master' the branch you want to keep in sync, As shown above I have experience in using git, linux and ssh systems. I have also worked on robots which use linux where startup scripts and cron jobs are of utmost value. The steps will be to first init the repo(if not already done) > git init Then add files and create a .gitignore. I would then create a startup script and ensure its working fine.
