Spark is a big data mining platform that works on top of JVM just like Hadoop and is known to be the successor of Hadoop. I'm bidding because you mentioned the usage of Hadoop and MongoDB in your project and Spark is known to have much better performance results than Hadoop based MapReduce algorithms allowing you to build similar and better applications. I'm also aware of MongDB although having never used it in production before it might take a few tries to get it right, I think I can get your job done just in time.
