Business Distance Search

I am developing a directory Web site that allows the user to perform two different types of searches to locate businesses. I am using JSP with embedded Java code to perform searches on an Access database. I have added functionality so that the user can search by city/state or zip code in both types of searches and I want to add an option for distance so that the user can search for businesses within a 10 mile radius (for example) from the city/state or zip code input. So I need someone to modify my existing code so that each of my two search options also has the option to input the distance and return only the appropriate results from the database. You will need to write separate (but similar) code for each search option. It will be similar to a store locator such as this one: <[login to view URL]>= except that my site contains all different kinds of businesses. An efficient method of finding the businesses within the specified distance must be implemented as there will be many businesses located in my database and the user should not have to wait long for results.
