Design some Fashion

DnF llc. is a Columbus-based fashion retail company currently seeking to recruit and support young talented fashion designers for the development and designs of our new product line. Job Duties include: - Assessing fashion trends and predictions; talking with sales and management executives; comparing leather, fabrics, and other apparel materials; and combining findings with personal interests, tastes, and knowledge of design to create new designs for apparels. - Sketching rough and detailed drawings of apparel and writes specifications describing factors, such as color scheme, construction, and type of material to be used. - Confers with and coordinates activities of contracts to construct and fabricate sample garments. - Examines sample garment on and off model and modifies design as necessary to achieve desired effect. - May draw pattern for article designed, using measuring and drawing instruments. May cut patterns. Requirements: - Experience in a design production development role or similar field of work within the apparel industry - Tertiary qualifications in fashion design (Preferable) - Previous experience sourcing new fabrics, arranging story and color boards - Understanding of production process and development - Strong technical skills in Illustrator/Photoshop for preparing technical drawings, garment construction and pre-production About DnF llc. Far too often, no major lingerie stores offer quality apparels tailored to the various African skin tones or figures in metropolitan areas in Nigeria, and as a result, women are often burdened with obtaining second hand lingerie products (which are mainly limited to just bras and underwear) at open-markets, or relying on families and friends that travel abroad, or from a handful of retail and online outlets that sell significantly limited varieties, sizes and colors. DnF llc. is an exciting new start-up company created to address these inequities by providing the new age metropolitan Africentric woman, fashion forward lingerie apparels in a wide array of sizes and colors made easily accessible through our retail stores and e-commerce platforms. Our ultimate goal is to be the premier intimate apparel and swimwear store in West Africa, fitting every woman in a fashionable bra or swimsuit, giving her incredible support and shape, therefore enhancing her entire silhouette!
