I'm working on a information system for tourists travelling in Iceland. My system is web based and will be displayed on monitors and TV's in places such as hotels, information centers, bus stations etc. The system works in a similar way as a Power Point presentation i.e. by displaying certain information for a specified amount of time. However the information is updated automatically from my backend system and location based. All the slides have text in english. I have several fixed slides with information and I am looking for some good tips and design in a way to make the system look more professinonal, since I am not a designer only programmer. If you are interested I can post a link to you where you can login and take a look at what I have so far. The Project is to assist on the overall look and feel and pick nice background pictures for 10 or more slides. The requirements are that the pictures are professional and free to use (or buy) Preferrably from Iceland (where appropriate). I would like to lunch the system soon (this or next month), I still have not picked a domainname and am open for suggestions on that as well.
