---- Overview ----
This is a 1-week stealth project on financial advice needed to distribute a fully-functioning MVP (Minimum Viable Product) as a responsive HTML5 web app to prospective customers, including a company with 70,000 employees which is interested in piloting this. The developer chosen may get the opportunity to develop the second phase with full features within a month or two. That may include mobile apps using Phonegap/Titanium, etc or develop native apps for iOS and Android. We have strong customer interest but very little in funds to pay developers right now – so we are particularly interested in high quality developers willing to work for almost free/very little at this stage, to get in on the ground floor. We are likely to stay with the developer we choose now for the second phase.
List of Minimum Viable Product features included at the end of the attachment. We have obscured the details of the service, but this is an addictive service EVERY person on the Internet will be interested in using.
----- Job Description -----
1. You are expected to understand an Axure prototype and specifications (shared only upon selection of developer) upon start of project, and deliver a tested product by June 4. Prototype, specifications and content will be provided by May 28.
2. Develop the application using best practices in either Ruby on Rails or Django/Python.
3. Pay attention to making the application work on tablets, using responsive design.
4. All front-end features that must work with tablets will be marked in the specifications.
5. All UI elements should be built with Bootstrap version 3.1.x
6. We want this to have clean, flat design, such as using [url removed, login to view]
7. You will have to use Git to manage the code repository. Repository access will be provided.
8. Should be able to deploy the application using AWS, Heroku, Engine Yard or similar. Account access will be provided depending on preference of provider.
---- Skills Required ----
1. Ruby on Rails or Django/Python experience
2. Ability to work with PostgreSQL (preferred) or MySQL using respective ORM
3. Experience with Bootstrap, version 3.1.x
4. Experience with jQuery for any JavaScript functionality
5. Experience with Git and deployment with a hosting provider
6. Good UX skills and usability instincts preferred
7. Client samples and references preferred
