Analysis and problem solving for an environmental engineering project (in 1-2 days)

Project deliverables: - 1. Refer to the attached document titled “Environmental Management plan” – Section 14. This is section pertains to Soil contamination and pollution. You need to address the following client problem with regards to the above mentioned report in general and section 14 in particular: - a) Need to find if there is any place within the project site where there is a high probability of soil contamination (maybe next to bins?). b) Is there any chance that the selected options can contribute to soil contamination (through infiltration) and c) how can we can overcome this? 2. Refer to the attached document titled “Environmental Management plan” – Section 19. This is section pertains to Soil contamination and pollution. You need to address the following client problem with regards to the above mentioned report in general and section 19 in particular: - a) Find any possible problems with this section. The problems needs to be project relative. For example, with regards to the conventional stormwater upgrade - more pits will be implemented and as a result rubbish could end up in these and cause blockages and hence cleaning would be required. We need to find out what would be the frequency of this cleaning. b) With regards to the rainwater tanks that are being implemented - there will be micro-organisms and other contaminants in the collected water, so how can we address this issue? (For example, using nets to cover any openings on rainwater tanks to reduce the risk of mosquito larvae and associated insect problems). c) From this the mitigation strategies would involve inspections, maybe flushing water tanks at a particular interval (find out how often this would be done). d) Find 1-2 more such problems and recommend their solutions 3. For sections 1a, b and c, write a minimum of 300 words for each of them. 4. For sections 2a, b, c and d, write a minimum of 300 words for each of them. 5.
