Create any original (no plagiarism please) console based anomaly detection program (even decent one) in matlab/octave and compare various algorithms like Logistic regression, Decision trees, random forests and present your findings. If you like you can take any simple kaggle challenge.
I need this for my self study. Provide the source code and a concise report with following details.
1) Step by step of which pre-processing techniques, normalization techniques, algorithms and libraries you used and why
2) Provide Performance details and compare the algorithms used (try atleast 3 algorithms)
3) Provide the challenges you faced in this mini project and how you overcomed
4) Lessons learned from this mini project (Assume you are a beginner)
