Hello, I have some experience in this field, once i made a project where I have had to calculate the total energy drawed from the network by an electric bus for a 500 km trip. The efficiency of storing the electric energy in batteries, the eficiency of converting mechanical energy to electric energy when the bus is going downhill, the slope of the tour (the arriving point was the same with the departing, so the total slope was zero, but the intermediate slope matters nonetheless) and others were taken into account.
