This is a project only if you have experience and have done work related to Book Scanning & conversion. Vendors from India would be given first preference. The books are printed books all black and white with good quality print.
The job is for scanning 50000 pages as per following specifications.
1. Scanning to be done at 300 dpi in grayscale
2. Convert the scanned image into text via a OCR program
3. Clean the image so that the scanned image looks white and text black.
4. Save the following in PDF with Hidden Text for searching.
5. Give us one copy in PDF with Hidden text format (PDF should have compressed image). Give individual files for each book.
6. Give us one copy of Cleaned Image in UNCOMPRESSED TIFF FORMAT on a DVD.
7. Give us one copy of Scanned untouched uncleand Image in UNCOMPRESSED TIFF FORMAT on a DVD
8. Create a Index of all PDF files so that all can be searched via the index
9. Create links and bookmarks from index to respective file.
Please prepare a standard quotation with company letter head & having signature of authorized person & load it on your server we shall download the quotation document, The quotation document should include the following
1. Rate per page which would include cost of scanning, cleaning image, conversion to OCR, and delivering PDF with hidden text & MS word file for the text. In the quotation document we do not want rate for entire project. ie not 50000 X Rate per page = but just the Rate per page.
2. Additional cost for Creating links and Bookmars from index to respective page (Quote per link Rate)
3. Additional rate per page for getting image formats in Uncompressed TIFF Format (Both Cleaned & Uncleaned)
3. Deliverables including time of delivery & accuracy you guarantee in the OCR. Also if we want 100% accuracy what are the additional charges.
4. Also mention the minimum pages based on which you are ready to do the work at the rate quoted. If we decide to bifurcate the work this would be useful. Also if the number of pages are less then what is the extra cost you would charge.
We need the Quotation documents by 29th so no delays

The language of the book is ENGLISH
2. Can the books be torn open?
No the Book cannot be torn open for scanning. But its paper back and hence easily openable without much effort.
I again state WE DO NOT WANT RAW BIDS but BIDS / Quotations as per specifications on bid request
