Hi,
I'm a professional ghostwriter with over 3 years of experience working for a Boston-based publishing company. My foray into cinema began with a viewing of The Bicycle Thief, which incidentally happens to be one of my favorite films of all time. The simplicity of the plot, De Sica's minimalist and poignant direction, the genius of hiring non-actors, the Chaplin-inspired emotional undercurrents in the heart-wrenching restaurant scene - discovering the "extraordinary in ordinary moments". This is one film, much like Cassavetes' A Woman Under the Influence, that reflects the power of unorthodox filmmaking on a small budget - a throwback to one's humble beginnings which form such an intimate part of an artist's vernacular.
As a passionate screenwriter, I look for opportunity in unlikely places, and I hope my reasons for sharing De Sica's work as one of my favorites is some indication of my writing style which opposes the cringe-worthy mantra that dominates modern-day Hollywood: "style over substance". I'm hoping this gives you a general idea about my passion for art and writing. I'm interested to know more about your project and look forward to the opportunity to work for you. I have placed a general bid, and I'm open to negotiation based on the length of the script. Please feel free to contact me for further questions and have a lovely day!
