Create standalone PDF comparison application/executable for Windows

The project will require a standalone desktop application that will allow the user to quickly compare two PDFs for differences. The comparison will need to be a visual/graphical comparison for differences and not textual.

Functionality:

The user will be able to drag two PDFs for comparison into a standalone application and click a button to compare the two PDFs. See ‘[login to view URL]’ to gain an idea of how I would like to be able to load PDFs. That output must be shown in the GUI and also automatically to a user specified location.

The output required can be seen in ‘[login to view URL]’ attached to this job.

It will be both a window within the executable and new PDF that shows an overlay of the two input PDFs and any differences between then. I want the output to emulate ‘diff-pdf’ in that it shows all linework, symbols, etc as if it were the original PDF and then any differences between the two PDFs are shown in different colors (red for original, cyan for second pdf). This new PDF must also show a circle cloud over the area of difference to highlight that there is a difference between the two PDFs (the linetype for the cloud circle will be RGB 192,0,0, no fill)

A legend must also be created for the colors being shown.

As mentioned above, the program output I want to emulate is called diff-pdf (which allows use, copying and modification of its source code for free under a GNU General Public License). I believe the program creates an image of both PDFs, compares those two images for any differences and then if there are differences it shows that area in different colors (red opaque image for original, cyan opaque image for second image). It then overlays an image of the actual PDF so you have the actual PDF with the opaque text shown where there are differences.

The PDFs that may be loaded into the program may be single or multipage and could range in size from 8.5”x11” to 24”x36” or larger

Deliverables:

I expect for this project will include the full executable ready to intall and all source code for the programming. I would like to have the ability to change the colors used to show the PDF differences and the option to change the method of commenting/bringing attention to the differences (circle, square, color, linetype, etc).
